After a long week of work providing for the family, its finally time to kick your feet up and relax..... WRONG!! Its the weekend, which means it's time to grab a coffee or grab a beer, and find something fun to do with the family and create some memories!
This post is dedicated to helping you find something unique and creative to do each weekend here in South Orange County. Finding events in Orange County can be time consuming and sometimes the kids get sick of the same routine of going to the same park, the same pool, or whatever it may be. So, here are some of the top things going on in South Orange county for everyone to enjoy for the weekend of October 7th & 8th.
Rancho Family Fest
This event has been a staple for years here in Rancho Santa Margarita and provides fun for the whole family. Featuring a great lineup of live music & entertainment, including a FREE kids fun zone, beer & wine garden, multiple food booths, & local business vendor booths. This year even features a mechanical bull!
Times: Saturday 12pm-10pm | Sunday 12pm-8pm | Happy hour 3pm-5pm
Cost: $20 for 2 day admission | Kids 12 & under free

Beerfest and Soccer!
Enjoy unlimited tastings of 50 + craft beers and seltzers, some of OC’s best food trucks, lawns games, giveaways, live music and the USL Championship soccer match
When: Saturday, October 7th | VIP @ 4pm | Standard @ 5pm

Dana Point Halloween Festival on Amber Lantern
Come visit for local shopping, craft bites & treats, costume contest, kid's zone and a happy hour crawl featuring Del Prado restaurants and shops! Dress up in your most creative costumes and prepare for a day filled with thrilling activities, tasty treats, and ghoulish entertainment. Whether you're a little monster or a grown-up ghoul, there's something for everyone at this hair-raising festival. Don't miss out on the Halloween excitement!
In partnership with Prado Square, they will be closing down the entire street of the Amber Lantern October 7th from 11-4PM. Trick or Treat Yo' Self to a free block party event showcasing an artisan marketplace of our community’s best local small businesses. They’ll be featuring a happy hour crawl with hauntingly good deals on local bites and craft spirits, live music, costume contests & raffle prizes, a pumpkin patch, kids craft zone and family-friendly workshops in Prado Square.

South OC Cars and Coffee
South OC Cars and Coffee is the world’s largest weekly car show, attracting a mix of hypercars, supercars, exotics, vintage, classic, muscle and sports cars, hot rods, rat rods, pickups, 4x4's and motorcycles. No registration is required, spectators are welcome and they meet every Saturday, rain or shine, so this event will be a staple for 'The Weekend' blog posts.
When: Every Saturday 9-11am
Where: Outlets at San Clemente (101 W Avenida Hermosa)
